Our Vision
Our chapter was formed to address the needs of attorneys with legal issues relating to the overseas jurisdiction of the Caribbean and Latin America. Specific areas of concern are vetted through AILA National, and information dissemination will be constant through an open listserve. The chapter provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, practices, and jurisdiction specific issues (including accessing local counsel).
Our Mission
The Chapter will host a variety of web seminars and CLEs dealing with regional and international issues. In person and telephonic general membership meetings are held. They provide an educational component as well as a forum to address issues important to the members. The Chapter will also arrange tours and visits to government offices located within the Chapter’s jurisdiction.
The Chapter will disseminate AILA information to government officials in the region and will develop relationships with Consular and DHS offices in the region to keep AILA and Chapter members informed in “real-time” of changes in policies and practices.
